Angel of Light Volunteer Program

We need your help!!   Volunteering at San Martin….

San Martin depends on volunteers.

Volunteers bring in a wealth of experiences, ideas and energy to our programs.  We believe that volunteers of every background and experience can contribute to the development of existing programs and new programs.

We encourage you to touch the life of a child, a family, or a youth in a positive sense, whether your schedule allows for a weekly commitment  or just one-time event.  We welcome any unique projects or ideas you may suggest and want to develop at San Martin de Porres Center.

YOUR HELP ARE NEEDED IN THESE AREAS:

• Become a member of the Advisory Committee
• Special Events
• Fund raising
• Administrative assistance
• Preparing mailing
• Photography and archiving
• Tutoring
• Mentoring

OUR COMMITTEES:

Volunteer Committees organize San Martin fundraising and educational forums.  Committee members collaborate to plan entire events:  choosing themes, projecting budgets, soliciting donors, designing publicity campaigns, and handling public  relations.

ANNUAL EVENTS INCLUDE:

• Conference on Family Issues
• Educational Tournaments
• Spirituality and Psychotherapy
• Juvenile Delinquencies and the Law
• Violence Prevention Seminars

OUR PROGRAM ADVISORY COUNCILS:

Volunteers sit on Advisory Councils to discuss issues and challenges affecting several programs.  Based on knowledge and familiarity of the program, volunteers are encouraged to share their insights at the Council meetings held throughout the year.

Advisory Councils exist for:

• Family Preservation.
• Youth & Family monitoring after completion of our program.
• Training and education.
